Natchitoches Parish has a wide variety of strong schools, ranging from public to private and residential. Regardless of your family’s educational decisions, you’re sure to find a school that is right for your child.
Below is an education profile that was compiled for public schools during the 2021-2022 school year. Natchitoches Parish Schools are thriving. In our district, both our motto and our goal is a "Persistent Pursuit of Progress." You can see this in a myriad of ways, including our award-winning NCHS orchestra, our growing Career-Technical programs, one of our many competitive sports programs, or the steady growth we are seeing in academics. We were recently named a "B" district by LDOE and have shown growth in numerous academic areas.
Our growth includes being one of only twenty "A" progress districts and being named the number one district in the state for proficiency growth. We are investing in our physical infrastructure, but more importantly, we are investing in our people. We have amazing educators who are only getting better under consistent and strategic professional development that has systemically prioritized academics in a way never seen in Natchitoches Parish. We are truly excited about the future because we believe that within the next five years, we will be one of the top school districts in Louisiana.
