Position Summary

The Phlebotomist obtains appropriate blood samples from patients for the performance of laboratory procedures. This position interacts with medical staff, nursing staff, and laboratory staff in a professional manner at all times. The Phlebotomist may also be called upon to perform specimen processing, testing procedures, receptionist, and clerical duties.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma required.

2. Phlebotomy certification preferred.

3. Previous experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred.
