Cashier Host

SUMMARY:
Responsible for fast, friendly and accurate cash handling and seating of guests entering the restaurant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Meets and greets all arriving guests as they enter the restaurant.
Escorts guests to assigned tables.
Maintains a highly visible appearance at the cashier/host station, periodically circulating through the dining room floor.
Operates POS System and properly receives payment and/or comps for all items from the restaurant.
Counts all revenues, using calculator and balancing cash register reports, alerting management to discrepancies immediately.
Answers guest(s) questions and supplies information on available services.
Maintains and cleans an attractive restaurant.
Responds to guest(s) concerns and complaints, contacting the MOD/Supervisor when necessary.
Must be able to perform basic arithmetic.
Must be able to operate both computerized and non-computerized cash register.
Anticipates and executes superior guest service at all times.
Money handling abilities.
Prepares for rush periods.
Requires being mobile 100% of time.
Ability to multi-task calmly and efficiently.
Ability to multi-task high volume activity, payment transactions, cash, credit cards and comp services.
Ability to operate pager system efficiently.
Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policy and procedures.
Promotes positive customer relations, greets guest(s) and creates friendly atmosphere.
Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS


High school diploma/GED required.
Minimum of one (1) year cash handling experience.
Minimum of 6 months customer service experience in a high volume operation required (Casino experience preferred).
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal and written format.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen and Tribal Gaming Commission licensing.
Tribal preference.
