Minimum Qualifications


 


Bachelor's Degree required
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft products, specifically excel
Proficient in coaching fundamentals of soccer 

 


 


Job Duties and Other Information


 


Perform duties in all pre-season, in-season and off-season practice sessions, as assigned by Head Coach 
Perform duties during intercollegiate competitions as assigned by Head Coach 
Perform administrative duties as assigned by the head coach, including but not limited to: Conducting study halls, checking class attendance of student-athletes, team travel plans, assisting with equipment, room checks, etc.
Attend NCAA compliance educational sessions as required by the university compliance coordinator
Study the NCAA Compliance Manual and stay abreast and comply with all NCAA rules and regulations
Assist in all team practice sessions 
Assist in preparation of competitions 
Coordinate team travel 
Supervise student coaches, student managers and volunteers 
Know and comply with NCAA, SLC, NSU and University of LA System rules/regulations 
Administer summer camps as appropriate 
Cultivate alumni/friends of the program for monetary support of the program 
Attend/participate in Alumni functions and fundraisers as appropriate
Participate in Community outreach programs with staff and student-athletes 
Develop positive relationships with students, faculty, staff and community
Grounds and/or facility maintenance and field preparation as assigned by the head coach
Perform recruiting duties as assigned by head coach
Assist the NSU admissions office in identifying and recruiting students who are outstanding academically or in extracurricular activities other than athletics
Identify and cultivate potential donors to the athletic department and the university
