Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce Announces 2025 Work Natchitoches Summit Dates

Connecting Talent, Employers, and Opportunity in Natchitoches Parish

Natchitoches, LA, December 5, 2024: The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 2025 Work Natchitoches Summit, a reimagined career expo designed to forge stronger connections between local employers and the Natchitoches Parish community. Taking place at the Natchitoches Events Center, this two-day event will feature unique opportunities for career exploration, skill-building, and networking for current and future job seekers.

The Work Natchitoches Summit, often referred to as "Not Your Mama's Job Fair," is a pivotal event aimed at fostering a sustainable talent pipeline in Natchitoches Parish. The Summit's mission is to link residents to employers, provide vital preparation for youth entering the workforce, and create pathways to career success across the community. 

The Summit will take place at the Natchitoches Events Center, located at 750 Second Street, Tuesday April 1, 2023, and Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 2:00pm-6:00pm, the event will welcome the public for an engaging afternoon of career exploration. Attendees can interact with employers, explore job opportunities, participate in Q&A sessions, and enjoy on-site demonstrations. 

Wednesday, April 2, 2025 is exclusively reserved for pre-registered student attendees. The hours of 8:45am-10:50am are designated for 11th-12th grade students, with 11:45am-1:20pm being reserved for 8th graders. 

Students will have the opportunity to engage in Life Hacks - Work Edition, a seminar focusing on essential soft skills needed to thrive in today's workforce. Each student will navigate the event with a Summit Passport, earning stamps at various booths to win exciting prizes and swag. They will also explore the Career Exploration Station, which highlights key industries in Natchitoches Parish, such as manufacturing, healthcare, and hospitality. 

The 2025 Work Natchitoches Summit is a collaborative effort supported by key partners, including educational institutions, training providers, and local businesses. By investing in this annual event, the Chamber aims to address workforce needs and ensure that Natchitoches Parish is poised for sustained economic growth. This year, the Summit is underwritten by the Natchitoches Economic Development Alliance (NEDA) and the Natchitoches Parish School Board. Partners include the Louisiana Workforce Commission, the Coordinating and Development Corporation, and the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
