Henry T. Moffett Appointed to NRMC Board of Commissioners
Natchitoches Regional Medical Center (NRMC) is pleased to announce that Henry T. Moffett has been appointed to the NRMC Board of Commissioners.The seven-member Board of Commissioners is appointed by the Parish President to govern and provide direction to the health system. The Board of Commissioners ensures legal and regulatory compliance and is responsible for the oversight of hospital operations. NRMC Chief Executive Officer Kirk Soileau works closely with the Board to ensure the health system’s continued success.
Moffett succeeds Samuel Jackson and joins Commissioners Michael Newton (Chairman), Ronald Corkern, John Luster, Dr. Chris Ingram, Valencia Sarpy Jones, and Parish Council Representative Wayne Halm.
Born and raised in Natchitoches, Moffett graduated from Natchitoches Central High School and then continued his education at Northwestern State University earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. Having an interest in research, Moffett participated in the Baylor College of Medicine’s Summer Undergraduate Research Training (SMART) program focusing on biomedical research, was on the Texas Children’s Hospital research team for Osteoporosis Prevention Using Soy (OPUS) study and participated in various research studies at Northwestern State University. Currently, he is the President of Moffett Foods, Inc., and an officer at Moffett Oil Company. An active member of the community, Moffett is a member of the Natchitoches Economic Development Alliance (NEDA), Natchitoches Voters & Civic League Foundation, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Henry and his wife Thaisha have three children and are active members of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Natchitoches.
